Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks Day 1 - Happy Halloween!

Welcome to day Day 1 of Taylored Expression's August Release! Are you ready for Halloween! I know it is only August but in the crafting world it is always good to get a head start! The holidays are always my favorite time to create!!

My first project features the new Sugar Skulls Stamp Set, coordinating Sugar Skulls Dies, and the Happy Flowers Background

The Happy Flowers Background coordinates with the Sugar Skull Stamp Set but will work on it own throughout the year. Here I stamped the background in Oreo Ink, used a Clarity Stencil Brush to add a little Potato Chip Ink to the Sugar Cube Card Stock and the used Copic Markers to color the images.

I used the Stitched Oval Stacklets to cut and mat the oval in the card front. I added Lemon Meringue Enamel Dots to the eyes. The sentiment is from the new Simply Said - Halloween Stamp Set

My second project is created with the new Be Somebody Stamp and Die Combo. I added highlights to the ghosts with Copic Markers. To create the background I stamped the Twinkle, Twinkle Background Stamp on watercolor paper and embossed with gold embossing powder. Then I used a blending took and Distress Inks in Scatter Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot to created the night sky.

At the bottom I die cut and attached the new Ghost Town Border and the Build a Scene - Grassy Hills and stamped a sentiment from the Be Somebody Stamp and Die Combo.

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow with another sneak peek.

Fun Summer Tags with Pretty Pink Posh

Hi all! Thanks for stopping by today! I have some fun summer tags to share with products for the latest Pretty Pink Posh Release. I love having tags ready to go in my stash!

A pretty tag and pretty summer colors can dress up the plainest bag!

For the base of all three tags I used the Scallop Diamond Tags Dies, a fun, unique shape for a tag. The little girl is from the Summer Friends Stamp Set and die cut with the Summer Friends Coordinating Dies. At the top I added the cloud and sun from the new Fly A Kite Stamp Set and die cut with the Fly A Kite Coordinating Dies. I colored the stamped images are colored with Copic Markers and I used a white gel pen to add dots to the sun.

Next up is a shaker tag. Inside the shaker I stamped a sentiment from the Summer Friends Stamp Set and dropped in sequins from the Mermaid Sequins Mix. The cute stamped image is also from the Summer Friends Stamp Set

My last tag features the Bear Hugs Stamp Set, the Bear Hugs Coordinating Dies, and the 4mm Tutti Fruitti Sequins Mix

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Surf's Up

Thanks for stopping by today! It is time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Surf's Up. I hope you get a chance to play along. The LEAD of this challenge will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge.

Here my card based on the inspiration photo. The card is created with the new adorable Sea Friends Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh

I just love this underwater scene. I started by cutting a piece of watercolor paper from the card front. I stamped the bubbles in white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I used Distress Inks, starting at to bottom with greens and browns and working my ink up the card. Then I misted the paper with water.

To created the shaker I used the Scallop Circles Dies and cut directly into the card front. Then I adhered clear acetate and foam to form the shaker. I stamped a sentiment from the Sea Friends Stamp Set and dropped in sequins from the new Mermaid Sequins Mix

Here's a closer look at the bottom of the card. The images are colored with Copic Markers and die cut with the Sea Friends Coordinating Dies

Please welcome our newest Guest Designer,
