Happy Spring

Hi and thanks for stopping today! I had a chance to play along with the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge and some new stamps from Verve this weekend.

To create my shaker card I used the New Beginnings Stamp Set, the coordinating Springtime Stitches Die Set, and sequins from Pretty Pink Posh

I embossed the flowers and sentiment with Delicata Golden Glitz Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. The flowers are colored with Copic Markers. I added form tape between the card front and base to form the shaker.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good week!

Hello There

Happy Easter and thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog!

I have been in the coloring mood lately. Yesterday I had a little unexpected extra time and I just sat at my desk and colored. I also feel like I have been in a color combo rut! You know, you tend to have your favorite colors you use over and over. So I decided to play along with the Inspired by All the Little Things Challenge. I love the succulents and these are colors rarely use.

Here's my take on the challenge using Taylored Expressions Simply Succulents Stamp & Die Combo.

I colored the plants with Copic Markers and die cut them out with the dies in the Simply Succulents Stamp & Die Combo. Next I used the Brick Embossing Folder to build steps to set the plants on. I highlighted the bricks a bit with Copic Markers in E41 and E43 and Distress Ink in Antique Linen.

The sentiment is from the stamp set. The final touch is a few scattered 4mm Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for stopping by!

It's a Girl!

Happy Friday! I am heading off this weekend on my annual craft getaway with some amazing friends and talented crafters. I am so excited! Things have been hectic lately and I am looking forward to four days away!

Before I leave I am popping in with a new baby girl card created with some fun, new dies from Taylored Expressions

I used a pretty plaid for the card background from the Carta Bella 6x6 pad - It's a Girl. Next I die cut a circle in the the center of the card front and matted the cut out.

To create the scene in the circle I used the Build a Scene - Nursery and Little Bits - Rocking Horse Dies. The sentiment is from the Sign of the Times Stamp & Die Combo. The sentiment is cut out with the Label It Dies.

I hope to have lots to share when I get back from 4 days of crafting. Have a good weekend!

These are the products I used to create my card:

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Rainbow

Hi Everyone! It's the 15th of March and time for a all new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Rainbow.

I hope you get a chance to play along. The LEAD of this challenge will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge.

Here's my take on the challenge, drawing inspiration from watercolors and rainbows!

First I cut a piece of watercolor paper to fit the card front. Next I got out my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor Paints and just painted strips in the order of the colors in the Inspiration Photo.

I used the Taylored Expressions' Rainbow Scallop Cutting Plate, perfect for the challenge, to added the background pattern and then attached the watercolored rainbow behind the rainbow pattern.

I stamped one of my favorite sentiments from the Simply Stamped - Sunflowers Stamp Set in white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I added the clouds and sun with the Little Bits - Sun & Clouds Dies.

The finishing touch is a scatter of 4mm Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you get a change to play along!

Magic - Working on a Scrapbook

Hi all and thanks for stopping by! It's been a long time since I have worked on a scrapbook project. I still do enjoy creating on a 12" by 12" canvas. These photos are from a recent wedding shower for my sweet daughter Lisa. I used the Essentials by Ellen March Mix It Up Challenge with Pretty Pink Posh for inspiration.

When Ellen released the Mondo Hydrangea Stamp Set and Dies I knew I had to have it! These are the colors Lisa chose for her wedding and hydrangeas are included in bouquets.

The pretty sequins are from the Pretty Pink Posh Share Kindness Sequins Mix. I also added a few 4mm Clear Droplets. These little droplets come in two sizes and are so pretty in person!

I stamped the Hydrangea and the leaves with a Delicata Ink Pad in Silvery Shimmer on watercolor paper and embossed with a silver embossing powder. Then I watercolored the images with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor Paints. The sentiment is from the Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Positive Word by By Julie Ebersole.

Thanks for taking a look and have a good week!
