Scatter Sunshine

It is a rainy, cold day here today! Perfect day for playing in my studio! I decided to play along with the CAS(E) this Sketch #157 over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog

Isn't this a cute sketch!

I started with a piece of watercolor paper for the card front. I sponged on Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Shabby Shutters, and Mowed Grass, and the spritzed with water to create the background.

I used dies from Taylored Expressions to create the scene, including the Little Bits - Sun & Clouds, the Cloud Duo, and the Build A Scene - Trees. The sentiment is from the Simply Stamped - Sunflowers Stamp Set.

The sentiment is stamped in a white pigment ink and embossing with white embossing powder and then die cut with the Stitched Banner Stacklets. The final touch was to add machine stitching and a few pretty, clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

A Little Gnome Told Me

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I have one last card to share from Taylored Expressions January Release. This card is created with the Under the Flower Stamp & Die Combo

The sweet images are colored with Copic Markers and cut out with the dies that are included in the stamp set. Next I used the Stitched Circle Stacklets to cut  the circles and the Build a Scene - Rolling Hills to cut the small hill. The background is watercolored.

On the top half of the card I embossed Sugar Cube Card Stock with the new Embossing Folder - Flower Power. On the bottom half of the card I cut the scalloped edge with the Stitched Scallop Edger and then stamped a sentiment from the Under the Flower Stamp & Die Combo

Thank for coming by my blog! Here are the products I used to create my card:

Celebrate!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Over the weekend I had a chance to play along with the Paper Smooches January Challenge, use four colors on your project. I went with aqua, green, yellow, and bright pink.

The Best Buds Stamp Set is one of my very favorites from Paper Smooches so I was pretty excited when they released coordinating dies this month. The two flowers are from the stamp set, colored with Copic Markers and die cut with the Best Buds Icons Dies

I used the Frame 3 Die to from the shaker portion of the card, cutting the frame once from card stock and once from foam. I attached a piece of acetate between the card stock and the foam. The background of the shaker is watercolored and the sentiment is from the Best Buds Stamp Set. I dropped in sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and the attached the frame to the background.

The detail at the bottom of the card is die cut with the Polka Dot Borders Dies and then I added a strip of card stock behind the die cut.

Thanks for visiting by blog!

Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by! There is still time to get creative and  join us for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Girly. You have until January 25th at 8:00 am CDT to share a project.

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

Here is my card inspired by the challenge. What could be more girly than pretty sequins, pearls, flowers, and pink!

I starting by creating the background pattern with the Tim Holtz Lattice Stencil and Spun Sugar Distress Ink. Next I cut the frame from glittered card stock with the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Frames Dies

To create the shaker for my card I used the Pretty Pink Posh Decorative Tag 1 Dies. I added clear card stock and foam behind the oval to form the shaker.

The sentiment is from the Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia Stamp Set. The pretty sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh. I especially love the new Iridescent Mini Star Confetti!

The wooden token is from the Wood Hey Girl Tokens by Maya Road, as is the the Pearl Trinket Pin

Have a Fintastic Day

Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog today!! I have a card to share that is created with one of the stamp and die combo sets released by Taylored Expressions this month, Mermaid Kisses.

To create the background I cut a piece of watercolor paper and sponged on Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Mermaid Lagoon. Once I was happy the blend of color I sprayed the paper with water.

The sand is cut from Toffee Card Stock with the Build a Scene - Rolling Hills Die and I added the plant life with the Build a Scene - Underwater Die. The frame is cut with a die in Frame Cutting Plate.

One of my daughters was obsessed with the Little Mermaid when she was young so I had to give my Mermaid red hair! She is colored with Copic Markers, as is the fish, and die cut with the dies in the Mermaid Kisses Stamp and Die Combo Set. The sentiment and the bubbles is also included in the stamp set. I stamped the sentiment and bubbles with white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by! Here are the products I used to create my card.
