Your Love Ties Us Together

I have a couple of projects to share with you today using Paper Smooches products that were released in May. This is my last post as Guest Designer for Paper Smooches this month. Thanks Kim for having me!!

First up is a Father's Day card created with the Daddy Yo Stamp Set. I stamped the background pattern with the star border stamp from the stamp set. I stamped the tie and hand cut it out. The top sentiment is die cut with the File Folder Dies. The bottom sentiment is also from the stamp set.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Daddy Yo Stamp Set.

Next up is a fun gift package. A while back I purchased the We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board and finally gave it a try. I created the box from a 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper and then stamped the cupcake from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set in black ink.

I used the Wave Dies to make the scalloped band that goes around the box. To make the tag I stamped the cupcake again, paper pieced the the bottom, and colored the frosting with Copics and sprinkled on some glitter. Then I used the Just for you Icons Dies to cut out the tag and add the heart.

Taylored Expressions Creative Team

I am excited to share the news today that I will be joining the Taylored Expressions Creative Team!

I was thrilled when Taylor asked me! I was lucky enough to be part of the TE Bakers Dozen Design Team for a number of years and I am so happy to be back! It feels like coming home! The TE Family so nice, I treasure my friendships I have made as part of the Design Team, and look forward to sharing my projects with their diverse line of products.

I made a thank you card with one of my favorite line of TE Stamps, Bouquets, using the Lavender Bouquet. I colored the image with Copic Markers and die cut with the coordinating Lavender Bouquet Die

The card front is embossed with Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder using Lavender Glaze Card Stock.

I added the tag with the Mini Tags Die and stamped a sentiment from the Lavender Bouquet Stamp Set.

Here are the TE Products I used from my card:

Birthday Bash Shaker Card

Hi! I am back today with another Guest Designer project for Paper Smooches. I have a fun shaker card using the Birthday Bash Stamp Set and the Frame 3 Die

The Frame 3 Die makes this shaker card easy to put together. I stamped the balloons from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set and colored with Copic Markers. I cut the stamped image out in a rectangle to fit under the frame and added double sided foam tape around the edges of the rectangle.

I dropped in the sequins, added a piece of acetate behind the frame, and then placed the frame on the foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set and the pattern papers are from the Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy 6 x 6 pad.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Totally Tassel

Hi! It's the 15th of the month and that means it is time for the new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Totally Tassel. Hope you get a chance to play along.

We have a wonderful returning sponsor, Newton's Nook, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Totally Tassel!  A randomly selected participant in this challenge will receive a $30 gift certificate to use at Newton's Nook while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I was inspired to make this little gift for a friend of mine. I purchased the glass mug with the cute lid and straw at Michaels. You could fill the jar with lots of different, fun items. Here I added a couple of nail polishes in pretty summer colors, a nail file, and a gift card.

I used the Paper Smooches Birthday Bash Stamp Set and colored the cake with Copic Markers. I added glitter to the frosting and a Maya Road Doily and the glued the embellishment to a wooden stick.

I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set on patterned 12 x 12 paper and wrapped it around the mug and attached the paper with a ribbon rather than glue so that the paper could be taken off and you could use the mug.

Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs for more inspiration!

Celebrate and Enjoy Your Day

Hi! I am back today with another Guest Designer project for Paper Smooches. I am playing with the Birthday Bash Stamp Set.

I cut the frame with the Frame 3 Die from a glittered card stock. Behind the frame I cut a piece of watercolor paper, stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I watercolored the background.

The balloons are cut with the Balloon Dies and then I added floss for strings and tied them to the side of the frame.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set.

Birthday Wishes

Hi! I have a birthday card to share today created with some of new Reverse Confetti products. I seem to  have lots of friends and family with May birthdays!

For my layout I used this month's SFYTT over at the Reverse Confetti Blog. The banners at the top are cut with the LAYERED BANNER DUO CONFETTI CUTS. I cut a panel of watercolor paper with the DOCUMENTED CONFETTI CUTS and watercolored with a pale yellow paint.

I used sentiments from the FANCY WORDS CONFETTI CUTS, the FANCY WORD COORDINATES, and the ROUNDABOUT ADDITIONS. I finished the card off with rhinestones and bakers floss.

Some Exciting News to Share and a Curtain Call Reminder

Hi and thanks for stopping by today. I have a couple of things to share.

First I want to share some news that makes me very happy! I am joining the Maya Road Design Team! You can stop by the Maya Road Blog to meet all the new designers. I love creating with their products and look forward to sharing my projects with you.

Secondly, there is still time to join us for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!  You have until May 10th at 8:00 AM CDT to be inspired and share your project!

So inspired by the Travel On Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge and I made this tag with some of my Maya Road products. I have been hoarding that little camera embellishment for a long time! But it just seemed perfect for the challenge.

I cut a square in the Bingo Card for added detail, along with a paper doily. The flower, sentiment, and stick pins are also from Maya Road.

Hope you get a chance to play along!

Paper Smooches May Release - Best Dad Ever

Hi!  I am so excited to be the Guest Designer for Paper Smooches for the month of May! I love their fun and creative stamps and dies and am thrilled to be sharing my projects for the month.

Today my projects are created with the Daddy Yo Stamp Set. Even the title of the stamp set is cute! I used the new Frame 3 Die to cut the frame from corrugated paper. I layered the sentiment behind the frame. I added the bow tie below the frame with another stamp from the Daddy Yo Stamp Set and die cut it out with the new File Folder Dies

Next I added the hat I created with the new Man Hat Dies. I cut the feather from gold glitter card stock. I think this card will make my Dad smile!

On the inside I added another sentiment from the Daddy Yo Stamp Set. The patterned papers are from the Authentique Everlasting 6 x 6 paper pad.

Next I used the Daddy Yo Stamp Set to create this tag. I just love that sentiment! I stamped the sentiment in white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I used the new Mustaches Dies to cut the mustache from black card stock and then I added a thin coat of black Glossy Accents. I mounted the mustache on a circle created with the Just for you Icons Dies

Thanks for stopping by! I will have more projects to share from the May Release next week!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Travel On

I excited to be starting off the month of May as a new member of the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge Design Team. I am honored to be joining such a talented group of stampers. This is a challenge I have enjoyed playing and you will find lots of inspiration on the Curtain Call Blog

The Travel On LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I used the Travel On inspiration to make a scrapbook page for an album I have been working on. The pattern papers and some of the embellishments are from Studio Calico. The map background just seemed perfect and I love the bright colors. I added a chipboard frame to the top photo for a fun detail.

I really love playing with embellishments. The doilies and @ sign are from Maya Road and the other embellishment are from the March Studio Calico Scrapbook Kit.

I stamped the camera and cut it out. The sentiment is from the Reverse Confetti Fancy Word Coordinates Stamp Set.
