MFTWSC 182 - Smile

Hi! It's Wednesday which means it is time for a new MFT Sketch Challenge. I got a chance to play along this week. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog. I hope you get a chance to play along!

Here is my take on the sketch.

I started by creating the background with the Pinstripe Background Stamp, stamping Sno Cone Ink on Sno Cone Card Stock

I used a combination of the Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and and the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics to cut the the fishtails and the Wild Cherry Card Stock

The frame is cut with one of the dies in the Rectangle Frames Die-namics. The sentiment is from the Picture This Stamp Set and the camera is created with the Cute Cameras 2 Die-namics. The pattern behind the sentiment is stamped with the Linen Background Stamp.

Here's a look at the inside. The sentiment is included in the Picture This Stamp Set.

Hope you get a chance to play along! Here are the products I used to create my card:

Celebrate Your Special Day

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having a good weekend. We started the summer off yesterday with swimming, bbq, and eating outside for the first time this year. I haven't had much time in my studio this month so I was just feeling the need to create something! I made a card based on a couple of challenges.

The layout of my card is based on the sketch challenge at the Seize The Sketch Challenge and the colors are based on this week Color Throwdown Challenge.

I used the Polka Dot Cover-Up Die-namics to create the background pattern. I used the Linen Background Stamp, stamping Berrylicious Ink on Berrylicious Card Stock. The linen pattern is cut out with the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics. The sentiment is from the Birthday Greeting Stamp Set, stamped in Sweet Tooth Ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

The flower embellishment is put together with the Upsy-DaisyLeaf-Filled Flourish, and Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the  Birthday Greeting Stamp Set.

Happy Forever

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I know my blog has been a little quiet! I went to Santa Cruz for one of my niece's college graduation and then my husband and I spent three day in Monterey. Truly a beautiful place!

Before I left I played with this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #181. Next weekend we have a big family wedding for another one of my other niece's. Yes, I have 12 nieces and nephews!

I used the sketch to make this wedding card. The sentiment is from the Together Forever Stamp Set, stamped in silver ink and embossed with silver embossing powder. The sentiment is cut out with the Circle STAX Die-namics and matted on a circle cut with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.

The background pattern is created with the Scrolled Background Stencil and Light Molding Paste. The card stock strip is cut with the Vertical Stitched Strips Die-namics and the frame is cut with the Rectangle Frames Die-namics. I added a coat of MIX-ables Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze to the frame.

I kept the inside simple with another sentiment from the Together Forever Stamp Set.

Hope you get a chance to play along. You can find all the challenge detail right here. Here are the products I used to create my card.
