CTD261 - Summer Fun

Hi and thanks for stopping by today! It's Wednesday which means it time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge.

Vickie is our host this week and she chose this bright and sunny color combo!

This week's color combo is perfect inspiration for scrapping a few summer pictures!

I used the Graduated Dots Stencil and Light Molding Paste to add texture to the page.

The sun is cut with the Sunshine Die-namics and I added a button the center.

The arrows are cut with the dies in the Lead the Way Die-namics. I cut the arrow twice, once from chipboard and once from card stock. Love making my own chipboard embellishments! The word "fun" is created with the High-Rise Alphabet Lowercase Die-namics.

I hope you get a chance to play along!

You do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge,  just use the closest you have.  Use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD261.  Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

CTD260 - Wine Country

Hi and thanks for stopping by today! It's Wednesday which means it time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge.

Tammy is our host this week and I love this pretty color combo she has chosen!

This week's colors seemed like the perfect inspiration for my scrap page with pictures from Napa Valley.

I used the Max Alphabet Stamp Set to spell out "Napa" using Red Brick Ink. "Good Times" is cut with the Accent It - Celebrate Die-namics.

I used one of my favorite scrapbooking dies, Insert It - InstaFrame Die-namics, to create this frame from corrugated paper.

The pretty sunflowers are cut with the Sunflower Die-namics, and the flourishes with the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics. Any patterned paper I used is from Graphic 45's French Country.

I hope you get a chance to play along!

MFT's September Creative Challenge

Welcome to MFT's September Creative Challenge! The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month we are exploring MFT's Playful Peek-a-Boos Products.

Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have a project to share with you today.

To create the background I sponged Pink Lemonade Ink onto Pink Lemonade Card Stock using the Mini Chicken Wire Stencil. Then I used the Flying Butterflies Die-namics to die cut the butterflies.

The sentiment is from the Winged Beauties Stamp Set.

The butterfly is cut with the Fancy Butterflies Die-namics. The top butterfly is cut from chipboard and covered with embossing powder. The circle is cut with the Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics and layered on a doily cut with the smaller die in the Dainty Doily Duo

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Winged Beauties Stamp Set.

On my next card I used the Peek-a-Boo Trio Die-namics and added hearts to the center of circle with one of the heart in the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics.

The sentiment is from the Sunny Day Doodles Celebrate Life Stamp Set and is colored with Copics. I used the Checkerboard Stencil to create the background with Wild Cherry Ink on Kraft Card Stock.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment for the Sunny Day Doodles Celebrate Life Stamp Set.
