I added red glitter to her dress, black gel pen to his buttons, clear gel pen to the hearts, and distressing ink to the edges of the paper.

On the inside I used the new Layered Label Die, a sentiment from the new More Essentials Sentiments and the Hearts A Plenty Die. The papers are Cosmo Crickett.

MFT January Teasers Day 1

I can't hardly believe we are at the end of another year and ready to begin 2011!! Today is Day 1 of MFTeasers for January. I have been on MFT Design Team on one year! I have enjoyed it so much and can't wait to see what 2011 holds!

Today we are sharing previews of More Essential Sentiments and Clearly Sentimental about Time. You can stop by Kim's blog to see the list of designers sharing projects today.

My cards today use the More Essential Sentiments and the new Layered Label Die. I just love the concept of this die! It can be used in so many different combinations. A sentiment, a pretty piece of paper, and this die set makes a quick and easy card!

For my first card I stamped a sentiment and layered all three pieces of the set. If you look at the bottom of my card you will also see a new Die-namic, Dainty Lace Border die, being released this month too. My papers and fabric are Websters Pages. I added lace, sewing, and twine.

On the inside I used the largest die by itself with a sentiment, leaving room to write a little note.
On my second card I used another sentiment from the stamp set and layered the three dies in a different combination. The paper is from Basic Grey Curio and I added ribbon, lace, and sewing. I also used distressing ink around the edges.

I left the inside simple, just using the Die-namic Flower Silhoutte.

The release of all the new products will be on January 4th at 10 PM EST. Here are the details you need to know!

From My Kitchen

Here is a little gift I made for a friend I was visiting after Christmas. I used papers and embellishments from the Taylored Expressions December Key Ingredients Kit.

The Winter themed papers are colors are perfect for post Holiday gifts and thank you notes.

I used stamps for the set From The Heart. The I layered scallops made with the Medium Scallop Border Die and papers from the kit. I added zig zag stitching and rhinestones from the kit to her centers of the snowflakes. Sparkly ribbon from the kit and a heart button finish my card off.
I used a Mini Kraft Bakery Bag, which holds some homemade Almond Roca, and covered the front of the bag to coordinate with my card.

Thanks for stopping by! I am off work the rest of week and looking forward to relaxing and getting a little stamping in!

WSC Challenge - Die-namics!

Happy Wednesday!! I am officially off work until after New Years! Today I plan on getting some baking done and finish off some last minute details.

Today I have my very last Christmas card for 2010! I made it for this week's MFT Weekly Stamp Challenge over at the MFT forum at Splitcoast. The challenge this week is Simply Die-namics, create a card or project where Die-namics (dies) are the main component. Don't forget - one lucky participant wins a $15 voucher to the MFT Boutique each week, which will be pretty handy with a new release right only a few weeks away!

First I used the Polka Dot Greetings Die and stamped a sentiment from Merry & Bright. I used the Decorative Doily Die behind the sentiment. I used the Scalloped Scallop die for my bottom border. The paper is Pink Paislee's new Christmas line and I added ribbon and some machine stitching.

The inside sentiment is also from Merry & Bright.

That is it for me!! I wish you all a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and all your sweet and supportive comments!

One Last Little Gift!

I am putting the finishing touches on Christmas preparations! I actually ahead of schedule this year. I am done shopping and wrapping and on Wednesday my daughters and I are going to do some baking.

Here is one last little gift I made for one of my co-workers. I used materials from my Taylored Expression Key Ingredients December Kit for my project.

The tin is the perfect size for a Starbuck's gift card.

I used images from From the Heart, colored with Copics, and added white Liquid Pearls sprinkled with glitter for my whipped cream. All the papers, snowflake brad, and ribbon are included in the kit. I used a chipboard snowflake, covered with glitter and twine from my stash.

I made my tin with one of Taylor's Small Hinged Tins and her die that makes covering the tin so easy!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week! Merry Christmas!
