Be sure to stop by Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST time to see all the designers sharing projects today.

I glued down the first trees, added a row of grass, then the second tree, and another row of grass.

May's MFT Greatest HIts

We are pulling out those stamps again this month that have not been inked up for awhile. For this month's MFT Greatest Hits we are working with stamps by Stephanie Fizer. If you would like to see all the designer sharing projects with Fizer's CUTE stamps, go on over to Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST.

You can find all the Stephanie Fizer stamp sets here - Good only on Thursday and Friday of this week, 15% off Fizer sets. The code is FIZER.

My sweet card uses Nite Nite Ellie. I really wanted to used moons and stars for my project, but didn't have paper with either, which is hard to believe since I have a serious addiction to paper! Well, this gave me the opportunity to play along with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge this week, customizing your accents to match the overall feel of your project.

To give the warm, feel of a cozy blanket, I made a quilted background by cutting squares of three different papers and stitching them together. Ellie is colored with Copics and her PJ's are paper pieced.
First to add in some stars, I stamped the small stars on the DP in Memento Rich Cocoa. To make them twinkle, I used a glue pen and added a little glitter to each star. You can see the twinkle better in person. Then to make my moon, I cut a felt circle using a circle nestibility and MFT's new My Favorite Felt. Once I had cut the circle, I lay the same circle die in the middle of the first circle and ran it through my Cuttlebug to give the moon shape.

Then I just added a ribbon from the MFT Royalty Collection and charm tied on with twine.

One the inside I added a few quilt squares and an another moon. I am loving my new felt!

Thanks for stopping by,
Melody

MfT Wednesday Stamp Club

Before I was asked to be a member of the MFT design team, I was just a fan and I was so happy to make friends in the MFT forum and learned so much playing challenges. MFT now has a weekly Wednesday Stamp Club, with a new challenge posted every Wednesday. The MFT forum is such a friendly place! I hope you have a chance to join in the fun. The challenge this week is a sketch challenge and here is my card based on the sketch.

My card uses the Pure Innocence Set Birthday Princess. I can't believe this is my first chance to ink her up!! She is stamped on a MFT Perfect Panel in Cream, colored with Copics and her dress is paper pieced. I used a black glaze pen on her shoes to give them a patented leather look.

I used glitter on her crown and the cake frosting and topped the crown off with rhinestones.

I machine stitched around the edges, and tied a ribbon, from the MFT Royalty Collection, around the card and added a button tied with twine. The DP is Girls Paperie from my local scrapbook store.

Here is the inside. The sentiment is included in the set.

THANKS!

You Make the Grade

Happy Saturday! I got my hair cut and colored today! Yeah! Way over due! My hubby is making me dinner tonight. It is a good day!

On Saturdays I always hop on over the Jen's blog to take a look at her Sketch For You To Try. I love her sketches and all the great inspiration from her design team. This week is extra special because My Favorite Things is sponsoring the challenge this week. You can win a $25.00 gift certificate a one of the new Dia-namics Jumbo Scalloped Die Cuts!

Here's my card based on the sketch and the stamp set is MFT'S Book in Hand . She is colored with Copics and her sweater is paper pieced. I layered the image over a bingo card. I layered papers from October Afternoon and used a zig zag stitch to patch them together. I strung buttons on twine at the bottom.

The "A+" sentiment is from the Pure Innocence set You Make the Grade. I used the Die-nanice Scalloped Scallops die cut for the border.

The inside sentiment is also from You Make the grade.

Happy Mother's Day to you all!!

May Blog Hop and Shop

Welcome to the MFT May Blog Hop and Shop. If you just came to my blog and want to start at the beginning, hop on over to Kim's blog. If you came here from Cindy's blog you are in the right place.

For my project I used the new, and oh SO cute Pure Innocence stamp, Beach Bum. My niece is coming to stay for a few weeks this summer, and this is the cover of the mini album I plan to make for her when she is here, and living in San Diego it all about the beach!

I covered a 8x8 piece of chipboard and rounded the corners. I made the sand by tearing kraft card stock and distressing it with distressing inks.

I used the new Die-namic Jumbo Scallop Die to make the waves. If you look at the die cut you can see how when the scallops are cut out you have perfect waves. I added VersaMagic Chalk Ink to the tips of the waves. I use the new Die-namics Cloud Trio Die to make my clouds on the cover.

Then I colored, paper pieced and cut out the images included in the stamp set and tucked them in the sand.
I also added a little glitter here and there. I used chipboard letters to spell out summer, and stamped on of the sentiments included in the Beach Bum set in one of the clouds. I finished the album cover off with MFT Perfect Plaid Ribbon.

This has been such a fun release! Hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have! Now it is time to hop on over to the extremely talented and SO creative Mel's Blog.
