Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients

I have a fun and easy project to share with you today that uses Taylored Expression's October Key Ingredients. The kit this month is full of fall colored papers, ribbons, and buttons, making this project quick and easy to put together!

This picture was taken this weekend at a great pumpkin patch in my area. This is my oldest daughter, Nicole, and her husband, and my darling grandson. I used one of the deep red sheets of cardstock in the kit as my base and mounted the picture on DP and ribbon, also from the kit.

Then I stamped one of the trees from the stamp set Branching Out twice, once on cream cardstock and once on the green DP. I cut out the tree top that was stamped on the DP and adhered it to the cream cardstock. The I stamped the trunk of the tree and cut the whole image out. I added buttons and attached it.

Then I just attached chipboard letters to spell "fall". The letters are the only item I used that is not included in the kit and you can find them HERE.

I am really happy with how my project turn out and I know it will look great sitting on my end table throughout the fall season.

You can find all the details about Taylored Expression Kit Ingredients Subscription right HERE.

Thanks,
Melody

Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Welcome to Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop! This month is all about the Holidays! I used the TE set Holiday Wonder for my card! Don't know what it is, but I got a thing for little houses. I have a Christmas Town that I look so forward to getting out each Holiday season.

My card is based on the sketch by the TE Design Team member Sankari Wegman. I flipped the design for my project. The house is colored with Copics and I sprinkled glitter on the snow. I paper pieced the curtains and added a small brad for the door knob.

My paper is by Girls Paperie. I love this paper! It may be my favorite paper this holiday season. The paper is available in Taylor's Tinsel & Twig Project Pantry Kit.

I added stitching, lace, ribbon and a sentiment from the Holiday Wonder stamp set to finish off my card.

On the inside I used a little more of the DP and another image and sentiment from the Holiday Wonder set.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Blast from the Past Blog Hop! Here is the list of the all the hoppers joining the hop today. I can't wait to see what they have created!

October Key Ingredients Subscription Kit!!

It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for the release of October's Taylored Expression Key Ingredients Subscription Kit. This months kit is full of beautiful fall papers and embellishments and instructions on how to create some of the cards you will see today!! You can find all the details about the kit HERE.

This month Taylor challenged us to make simple cards that can be easily put together. I like to make a set of coordinating cards to have one hand. They make great little gifts!

I made a set of four cards and a cute, little gift box to put them in. I used October's kit and the stamp set Gobble Gobble.

I made a simple gift box and used one of my favorite papers for the kit on the front. I stamped a sentiment and leaves and colored the leaves with copics. Then I added three buttons, tied with twine for my stash. The handle is covered with one of the ribbons in the kit. You can also cover the front of a plain gift bag for a quick card holder.

I love the papers in the kit, especially the ones with all the borders. Like in this card, I cut a portion of the paper with the border I wanted to use, tied a ribbon around the card, and added the sentiment and a button.

Taylor's kits make it so easy to put your card together! Everything is coordinated for you! And if you want you can add other items from supplies you already have at home. For example here I add a little lace and twine to tie on my button.

Isn't this the cutest sentiment! Here all the ingredients are from the kit, except I added pearls from my stash in the corners.

On this card I add a few more extras. I just wanted to show you how you can keep your card simple or fancy it up a little if you have the time with things you make already may have at home. Here you can see I used a border punch, lace and twine. The acorn border is the a strip of one of the borders on the paper included in the kit.

Thanks for stopping by! I really think you will love this month's kits. Be sure to stop by the other designers blogs to see what they have come up with:

Thanks!!

MFT'S October Greatest Hits WTG

This week, we are celebrating Who's That Girl's greatest hits. Head on over to the MFT blog , at 11:00 am EST, and follow the links for a tour of some of the team's favorite Who's That Girl stamp sets from the past.

As part of the event, we are offering a SALE! From October 12 through October 14, use the code WTG to save 15% on all in-stock Who's That Girl stamp sets. (the newest WTG, Winter in the City is excluded from this promotion)

I chose the WTG's stamp set Lovin' from the Oven to work with today. I am giving the set a holiday twist and made a little homemade gift.

She is colored with Copics and her apron is paper pieced. I used the Die-namic Small Scallop Border on the left edge and added lace, ribbon and a sentiment from the set. My layout is based on Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from Winter In The City.

The I covered a kraft gift bag to coordinate with my card. I used cookies from my pantry to give you the idea of the gift, but this bag will be filled with one of my favorite holiday cookies before it leaves my house! The "From Our House to Yours" is computer generated and then I stamped a sentiment from October's VIP Kit and the spoon from Lovin From the Oven.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a good week!

MFT's October Blog Hop and Shop

Welcome to MFT's October Blog Hop and Shop. This is such a fun release! If you came here from Megan's blog you are in the right place. To start at the beginning of the hop go on over to Kim's blog.

My projects use one of the new Pure Innocence stamps, Don't Open Until. The sentiments in this set make the stamp set perfect for cards throughout the year!

First up is a birthday card! The sweet image is colored with Copics and attached to a little kraft envelope with a tag inside. I added machine stitching and twine. Notice the cute little button?

I stamped one the sentiments in the set and attached it with one of the buttons from the Die-namics Button Quartet.

On the inside I stamped the Birthday sentiment from the set and added a border using the Scalloped Scallop die.

Next up I made a gift bag for the holidays. She is colored with Copics and her dress is paper pieced. I used the Jumbo Scallop Die for the borders at the bottom of the bag.

I used the "Don't Open Until" sentment again, but this time added "Christmas". I made a tag for my bag and attached it with a small cloths pin. I sponged on some red distress ink on the wooden pin and add a button tied with twine.

My final embellishment is a rose made with the new Die-namics Rolled Rose Die and added leaves cut with the leaf die the comes with the Dienamics Flower Trio and Leaf Trio. I think it is the perfect touch.
