A Little Apple Pencil Holder

It's Day 2 of MFTeasers! Today we are showing previews of Fred Bear Goes Camping, Emma With Her Backpack, and Wyatt and his Wagon. Stop by Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST to see the list of designers sharing project today.

Summer is flying by and before you know it the kids will be back in school. I used Emma and her Backpack to make a little pencil/treat holder.

I colored Emma with Copics, paper pieced her skirt, and cut her out. I added a MFT Baby Braddies to her backpack and a rhinestone in her hair.

To make the holder I cover two chipboard apples with paper from October Afternoon. Then I made a small box to fit between the chipboard apples. I used Scor-Pal tape to put my container together.

I added buttons tied with Baker's Twine, alphabet twill from my stash, and a sentiment from the stamp set to embellished the front apple.

Here some other important news!

Today, there is a prize hidden on one of the designer's blog posts. As you make your way through the Teaser Time posts, simply leave a comment on each blog, for your chance to win one of the Brand Spankin' New stamp sets being released on August 4th. Welcome to MFT July Blog Hop and Shop! If you have just happened upon the Hop, and want to start at the beginning, go on over to Kim's blog.

My project uses the new Banner Day Alphabet, Die-namic Banner Day Die Cut, and the PI Cheerleader stamp set. I have made a couple of cards this week with the Banner Day Die, but I knew when I saw the die it would be so perfect for scrapbooking too!

I used all three pieces of the Banner Day Die to make my banner, punched small holes in each corner, and strung it on silver cording. I also used the Die-namic Jumbo Scallop and Scalloped Scallop to make my top border. The sketch is from PageMaps Blog. And the picture is of my daughter Kayley, a number of years back, when she was in high school.

I also added buttons to the ends of banner.

I colored the PI Cheerleader with Copics. I colored, cut out, glittered, and popped up the pompoms.
This sentiment is included the PI Cheerleader set.

So here is my take on the Color Challenge!

Okay, right off I have to say I loving the new Banner Day die cut! Perfect for cards and I can't wait to use it on a scrapbook page! The die has three shapes, two banners, one slightly bigger and a topper for each banner.

The new dies just go perfect with the new stamp set Banner Day Alphabet! I used a PI called Dog on Cute for my card. He is colored with Copics. I added some sewing and twine to my banner. The stamp set also includes numbers that I used for my sentiment.

Here is a close up look at the banner.

On the inside I just used the number 2 for the set.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!!!

Happy Birthday to Kim (aka The MFT Lady) !! We are celebrating with a Birthday Blog Hop! Kim's actual birthday is on July 5th, but with the long weekend and MFT July Teasers starting on Saturday, we are starting the celebration a little early.

I first got to know Kim as a customer and big MFT fan in the forums at Splitcoast. I was lucky enough to get to meet and spend time getting to know her in person at the Winter CHA. She is just so sweet, talented, creative, FUN, and supportive! I feel very lucky to be part of her MFT Design Team.

I decided to chose one of my favorite Who's That Girl stamp, maybe not one would think about for a birthday card, On the Pier.

The image is colored with Copics and colored pencils and her shirt is paper pieced. The background is sponged. I used the Die-namics Jumbo Ric Rac Die Cut for my border. The sentiment is wonderful for a birthday I think! And is included in the set. I added lace, sewing, and a button from the Earth Girl Collection tied with twine.

Here is the list of the other designers who wanted to help celebrate Kim's Birthday! I can't wait to see what they all created. And be sure to stop by Kim's Blog to wish her HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
HAVE FUN!
