MAY MFTeasers Day 1

Today is the official Day 1 of MFT May Teasers, but I hoped you enjoyed yesterday Die-namic Teasers! I am just so excited about the new die cuts, just so fun and easy to use! Today the designer team is working two new sets, Rainfall Flopsey and Clearly Sentimental about Babies. Be sure to check Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST for the list of all the designers sharing projects today.

My card today uses Clearly Sentimental About Babies. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out and hung a charm from a MFT Baby Bump Diaper Pin. I covered a chipboard onesie and made the flap by cutting a rectangle, rounding the corner and adding two Baby Braddies.

The onesie is mounted on a quilt background that I made by cutting squares of paper and sewing between them. I added additional stitching around the edges, lace, and ribbon. The scallops on the bottom I made with one of the three new die cuts.

This is the Scalloped Scallops die cut.

This is the inside where I used the die cut again.

Happy Saturday!! I am off to watch my daughter Lisa's very last college dance show!! Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another preview of a new May stamp.

INTRODUCING.................

We are all very excited to be introducing a new product by My Favorite Things, Die Cuts!! The first release will include three new die cuts, Jumbo Scallops, Scalloped Scallops, and CLOUDS!! You will be able to purchase them on Wednesday, May 5th!

Be sure to stop by Kim's Blog after 11:00 am to see the list of all the designers who are will be sharing projects with this new product today!

For my card today I used the Clouds and the Jumbo Scallop die cuts and the stamp set, Boy & Dog - Tree Swing. I colored the image with Copics and sponged the background with distressing ink. Then I made my clouds!

I used felt for my clouds. This is just felt I picked up at Michaels. Kim is going to be carrying wool craft felt that I can't wait to get my hands on! I found that if I add a piece of copier weight paper on top of my felt the die cuts easier through the felt.

So here is my cutting stack on my Cuttlebug. Plate A, Plate B, felt, die cut, copier paper, plate C. It cuts clean and easily!

Here is a close-up of my clouds. I added a little sun peaking above the clouds. Then added machine stitching, ribbon, a button, and a sentiment for the set finish it off.

Next I used the Jumbo Scallop to cut the border at the bottom of my card.

If you line up the die cut with the edge of the paper you know it will be straight and you lose very little paper. My cutting stack here is plate A, plate B, paper, die cut, and plate C.

Here is the inside of my card using the Clouds and Jumbo Scallops again. So quick and easy, I love it!!

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop by tomorrow. MFT May Teasers begin and I will have more ways to use the new die cuts!

MFT Greatest Hits

Sorry I have been so quiet here for the past week. I have been working on my very last Dirty Dozen Gallery! Those six months went so fast and I have enjoyed every minute of it! It has been such an honor to be a "Dirty Girl"!

If you are like me you have stamp sets in your stash that you really LOVE but that haven't seen any ink lately! Today some the MFT design team is pulling some of those stamps and sharing their projects. If you would like to see all the MFT Greatest Hits go to Kim's blog a 11:00 am to see the list of designers playing today.

So I pulled out my WTG set "Hanging With My Peeps". I like this set because the sentiments make it perfect for so many occasions! She is colored with copics and her jacket and dress are paper pieced. I used Prism Pencils for the grass.

The sketch is Jen's SFYTT and the DP is my new October Afternoon paper. My use of kraft is inspired by Joanne! I love how it looks on her cards. I added machine stitching, a little distress ink to the edges, lace, ribbon, a button, and a sentiment from the set.

Here is the inside of my card. I used a sentiment for the set Who's That Birthday Girl.

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to the My Favorite Things April Hop and Shop! If you just happened upon my blog and want to start at the beginning just hop on over to Kim's blog. If you came here from Jody's blog you are in the right place.

Tonight I am working with the stamp set Sweet Spring Jolinne! I made a little room decoration for a little girl I know who loves to dance!

I stamped the images in Memento Black Ink and colored with copics. The skirt on the dancer and the bunny are paper pieced. On the skirt for the dancer I added a small ruffled ribbon before I glued it down. The sentiment is included in the set.

To make the banner at the top I used chipboard pieces and glitter letters that I colored with Copics to match the project. The project is mounted on a 8x8 piece of chipboard. I added some machine stitching, ribbon tied with a button and twine, more of the ruffled ribbon and a border punch.

Here is a close up of the stamp. You can shop for this sweet stamp set and all the new releases HERE.

Now it is time to hop on over to the next blog on the hop. Next up is our Guest Designer for April, a very talented stamper, a sweet person, and my friend, Kerry!

MFTeasers Day 3 - Pure Innocence

Each month I fall in love with the new Pure Innocence stamps. They are always so cute and this month is no exception!! There are three new Girls and one new Boy and his Dog. Stop by Kim's blog at 11:00 am to see all the designers posting projects today.

For my project I am working with Make Mine a Double!

I made this little gift set that I could use for a birthday, a thank you, or just when I need a little something. I plan to add a ice cream gift card and a few little goodies to the cone.

The image is colored with copics and her dress is paper pieced. I used a glitter pen on the ice cream. I used my nestibilities to cut her out and the papers behind her. I rounded all the corners. I added lace, ribbon tied with a button and twine, and a little ice cream charm I have had in my stash for ages!

Here is a look at the inside of the card.

To make the cone and the handle I used a pattern from Mel's Blog and then I embossed it with a cuttlebug folder and sponged on some distressing ink. I colored my PI girl to match the card, cut her out, and attached her to the cone.

I will be back tomorrow with another sneak peek!

Welcome to Day 2 of the MFTeasers! Kim has out done herself this month and is introducing two new characters, Fred Bear and Millie the Mouse! Be sure to check Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST for the list of designers sharing projects today.

Today I chose to work with Fred Bear Graduates. I actually have a number of graduations coming up. I made this card for my niece Katie, who is graduating from high school in June. Her school colors included purple so I added some purple to his cap and gown!

Fred is colored with copics and cut out with nestibilities. I added rhinestones the cap and gown, black gel pen to his nose and ears, and I paper pieced the diploma and sponged on a little distress ink.

I sewed around the edges, added a border punch, and gingham ribbon. The sentiment is included in the set. A crocheted flowers finishes off my card.

Here is a look at the inside. I stamped, colored, and cut out the bear's face.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Easter to all of you!!! Be sure to stop by tomorrow. I have a darling new Pure Innocence stamp to share!
