This cute teapot if a Lizzie Anne stamp I bought a while back and still hadn't inked up. I seem to be drawn to teapot and teacups for some reason. This teapot set is so cute because it comes with three different teapots and mix and match spouts and handles.

I used the sketch challenge on the Lizzie Anne blog. I love this DP from Scenic Route. The teapot is paper pieced and I added a rhinestone to the top. The edges of the paper are sponged with Tim Holtz distressing ink in Tea Dye. The border bunch is Martha Stewart. I added a ribbon a teacup to finish off the card.

Thanks,
Melody

Just Splashing By

I really love my new Lily at the Beach set from Pink Cat Studio, so I decided the give the challenge on their blog a try. The challenge is to create a card using basic geometric shapes. Your card must be rectangular in shape and you must use 2 different patterned papers, one cut in the shape of a circle and the other in the shape of a square. So we have a rectangle, a circle and a square. You must also use a Pink Cat Studio stamp as the main image for the card.

Lily is colored with copics and I added lime green stickles to her tail. I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the yellow, my swiss dot cuttlebug plate on the top and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Mustard Seed. I added ribbon and a starfish charm, and a few rhinestones here and there for a little shine.

Melody

Wedding Shower Congrats

I hope you all here in the States have had a nice Memorial Day Weekend. It was so nice having three days off and having a little time to stamp. This week is the final week of the MFT Idol challenge. I have a wedding shower coming up, so for the judges challenge I made my card and a gift card holder.

For the card I used Jen del Muro's weekend sketch, which I really like, and would definitely use again. The DP is Bo Bunny and the stamp is from My Favorite Things, Girls Day In. The image is paper pieced and colored with copics. The edges of the pink are sponged with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Worn Lipstick. I love these inks! I added MFT ribbon, a ring charm, and rhinestones. I also added some machine stitching and the ribbon is pleated at the bottom edge.

The gift card holder matches the card. I stamped just the hand from the stamp used on the card. The congratulations circle is from MFT's Congrats All Around. I machine stitched around the edges and punched holes in the top to pull the ribbon through.

Here is the inside of the gift card holder. I used a StampInUp punch to make a slot to hold the gift card.

MFT Polka Dot Challenge

This month MFT Ambassador Challenge is to create a card or project using lots of polka dots. The polka dots can be on your paper, or ribbon, or embellishments.

With that in mind, I used polka dot paper, stamp, ribbon, and border punch. The stamp is Tea for Two from My Favorite Things. The paper is Cosmo Crickett. I cut out and popped the bunny. The tail has ivory flower soft applied to it. The edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Tea Dye. I made a matching party favor box to hold the tea, added a sentiment, and some ribbon.

The Love of Those Around You

I made this card for the current Caardvark Challenge. Never can get enough challenges right? Randee had left me a comment on my blog about the challenge, liked the idea, added it to my list of challenges I try to do when I can.

The current challenge is to create a ***NEW*** card incorporating a verse or quote. I needed a sympathy card and I like this saying I recently purchased from Lizzie Anne designs. The angel is from American Art Stamp. I pieced the dress with DP from the Basic Grey wisteria pad. The coloring is done with copics. I added glitter with a glitter pen to the wings and a very small rhinestone to the flower.
I tied ribbon around one of the panels and added a cross charm and added some lace to bottom of the card. All the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye.
Have a great weekend,
Melody

Sweet Little Boy

I got this cute Cuddle Up Carter set for MFT about a month ago and this is the first chance I have had to ink it up. Isn't he cute! Now that I have a grandson, I am trying to increase my number of Boy stamps.

The DP is from Basic Grey, love those little dinosaurs! Carter's PJ's are pieced and the slippers are cut out and popped up. He is colored with copics. I used the out of the box method and carefully cut out a portion of his blanket. I used SU punches for the sentiment and the little frog is cut out and popped up.

The edges are sponged with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Tea Dye. The buttons are tied with twine, and the buttons are from Basic Grey. The last touch was a little ribbon.

Sending You Sunshine

This is one of my new stamps this is in the Lily at the Beack set from Pink Cat Studios. Isn't she the cutest! I used Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #66 for the layout of the card. Lily is colored with Copic. Her hat and the turtle's head are popped up for some dimension. I stamped the image twice, colored and cut out the turtle, and ran through my Cuttlebug using an embossing template to give the turtle some texture. I used my zig zag stitch on my sewing machine around the edge, and added some ribbon and rhinestone.

MFT Girls Night In Mother's Day Basket

The theme for this month's Guest Designer Challenge for MFT is Girls Night In! My project features the MFT Girls Night In stamp set that will be released on Wednesday night. All the beautiful patterned paper and pretty ribbons will also be released on Wednesday. Who does love pink and brown! You can join the release party this Wed., May 6th, from 8-10 pm EST, for fun, prizes, chatter in the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers!

Thanks to the challenge my Mother's Day gift is done! The card is a criss cross card made with one of the two images in the set. I added a border punch to the edging, and added ribbon, lace and a charm. I used stickles on the finger nail polish.

The second image is attached to a wire basket with ribbon. The nail polish bottles are cut out, covered in stickles, and popped up. I added a border punch, and I the chair and the robe are pieced. The cute little tag that say Happy Mother's Day is also included in the set.

My Girls Night In basket includes a movie, cotton pads, finger nail polish remover, nail polish, and emery board, foot cream, candles, and chocolate. I embellished a few of the it items to carry out the pink and brown theme.
